Bake Lyon’s Multigrain at Home


We are delighted, nay, thrilled to introduce our first DIY bread recipe!

In conjunction with Bonnie Benwick at the Washington Post, our very own Alan reworked one of our favorite breads so that it can be made simply and quickly at home.

We prodded, poked, squished, tasted…rinse and repeat many times…and then did a lot of tasting. Much tasting, in fact. Hard life, eh?

Not only does it look amazing, it’s delicious and healthy, too. Don’t take our word for it, try it and let us know what you think!

Pros: No machinery needed. No kneading necessary. No hours of waiting and waiting.

Cons: Your oven can only fit two at a time.
